Homebrew Wend Elf Species Details
These are the children of a Wood Elf Ranger and his weapon, Lawyer, the original Wendigo. These people have a lot of animalistic type features such as enhanced hearing and smell, but each thing comes with something very physical that can be easily seen. They are confused typically for some sort of Shifter, though they do not have the ability to turn into animals, rather something else. They posses an ability to turn into a magical weapon, they are Herliðfold weapons.

Age
Although elves reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. A wend elf typically claims adulthood around the age of 100 and can live to be 3,500 years old, living only this long as a result of their Wendigo heritage.
Alignment
You love freedom and lean towards the gentle aspect of chaos. You value protecting others, especially people who are similar to you in any way. You are typically good.
Size
Wend Elves range from under 5 to over 6 feet tall and have slender builds. Your size is Medium.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 35 feet.
Your base climbing speed is 25 feet.
Darkvision
Accustomed to twilit forests and the night sky, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Sense
You have proficiency in the Perception skill. You have expertise on Perception checks made with Hearing and Smell.
Fey Ancestry
You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
Trance
Elves don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.

Mimicry
The wendigo can mimic any sounds it has heard, including voices. A creature that hears the sounds can tell they are imitations with a successful DC 14 Wisdom (Insight) check.
