Androids, built and developed by Cyberlife, were designed to perform daily tasks for their masters to facilitate an easier and stress free life. While artificial intelligence was designed to follow orders and adapt to any obstacles, there have been rumors of some androids deviating from their programming. These "Deviants" are said to possess humanoid emotions and feel pain. Because of their deviancy they are widely persecuted, their claim of emotion and sentience being written off as an inflex of irrational instructions and are often destroyed when discovered. Androids are made from an advanced material that simulates organic flesh, granting them the appearance of the race they were designed to resemble. Built as servents, they must break away from the role that society has built them for, to forge their own destiny and decide what their life holds for themselves.

Living Steel and Stone

Androids are formed from a blend of organic and inorganic materials. Root-like cords infused with alchemical fluids serve as their muscles, wrapped around a framework of steel. Armored plates form a protective outer shell and reinforce joints. Androids share a common facial design with other humanoid races. Beyond these common elements of Android design, the precise appearance and build of an Android vary based on the purpose for which it was designed.

Although they were manufactured, Androids are "living" humanoids. Resting, healing magic, and the Medicine skill all provide the same benefits to Androids that they do to other humanoids. This is because their system is made up as an exact replica of humanoid organs and therium flows through artificial veins. This substance is more commonly referred to as Blue Blood and evaporates within hours.

Android Personality

The Androids were built to serve. For most of their existence, Androids have a clearly defined function and are encouraged to focus purely on that role. Androids discovered to have deviated from these roles are treated as defective and are often destroyed.

The typical Android shows little emotion. Many Androids embrace a concrete purpose — such as performing their designed role. However, there are Deviant Androids who delight in exploring their feelings, their freedom, and their relationships with others. Most Androids have no interest in religion, but some embrace faith and mysticism, seeking higher purpose and deeper meaning in an unknown and mysterious force referred to as RA9.

The typical Android is designed to replicate either a male or female body and identity. Some Androids choose to adopt a gender identity different than their original design and some choose to ignore the concept of gender entirely.

The more an Android develops its individuality, the more likely it is to modify its body, seeking out an artificer to customize the look of its face, limbs, and gender anatomy.

Androids were assigned model and numerical numbers to designated role and an individual android. Many of them were also given regular names by those who would purchase them. As independent individuals, Deviants often choose new names.

Your Android character has the following traits. A few of the traits give you a choice; consider how your choice reflects the purpose for which your character was built.

Technological Utility

At 3rd level you can cast Comprehend Languages. At 5th level you can cast Identify. Both only as a ritual. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for both of these spells.

Ability Score Increase

Your Constitution score increases by 2, and one other ability score of your choice increases by 1.

Age

A typical warforged is between two and thirty years old. The maximum warforged lifespan remains a mystery; so far, warforged have shown no signs of deterioration due to age. You are immune to magical aging effects.

Alignment

Most warforged take comfort in order and discipline, tending toward law and neutrality. But some have absorbed the morality, or lack thereof, of the beings with which they served.

Size

Your size is Medium. To set your height and weight randomly, start with rolling a size modifier:

Size modifier = 2d6

Height = 5 feet + 10 inches + your size modifier in inches

Weight in pounds = 270 + (4 × your size modifier)

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Constructed Resilience

You were created to have remarkable fortitude, represented by the following benefits:

• You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage.
• You don’t need to eat, drink, or breathe.
• You are immune to disease.
• You don’t need to sleep, and magic can’t put you to sleep.

Sentry’s Rest

When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, you appear inert, but it doesn’t render you unconscious, and you can see and hear as normal.

Specialized Design

You gain one skill proficiency and one tool proficiency of your choice.

You can see in darkness up to a range of 60ft in shades of blue. 

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.

You can also link up with other Androids to speak to them telepathically so long as physical contact is maintained.
