Homebrew Alk Species Details
Alks, while powerful and a force to be feared, especially in numbers, are weak to emotion and thus are easily charmed, but try to persuade them with guilt or morals and you will merely be another corps on their warpath.

Alks are descended from those they call they the altered, otherwise referred to as Class-E personal accompanying by a generation number afterward. The higher their generation number the stronger they were, and thus the stronger their descendants are. Since the Empire of the Alks was so technologically advanced, all Alks learn new technology with ease. While a single Alk can take out a 10 team on a head-on fight, a trained group of 5 or more can easily wipe an army 20 times their numbers.

Appearance
Alks look fairly similar to elves and are often confused, but there are a few differences. Alken ears are flat almost to the point of being flush with the head, slightly pointed but only barely longer than human ears. the eyes see for around 300 feet with ease and without sacrificing clarity or detail have a multicolored sheen to them in bright light, the pupils change color when angry, or in large fights that require extensive amounts of magic. The lips are thin and flush, paired with a small nose, capable of hunting down small rabbits from 400 away. They have a fair and pale complexion, though some cases have been known where they perfectly match trees, sand, grass, stone, and other common materials in their environment. They are not tall nor short and have compacted muscles that get them confused for helpless people even though they rival orcs in raw strength and are unmatched in magic.

Alks don’t need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 3 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is “trance.”) While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.

You can speak, read, and write Common, Elvish, and Alken. Elvish is fluid, with subtle intonations and intricate grammar.
