Homebrew Xochi Species Details
The Xochi resemble humanoid salamanders or axolotls. By retaining their youthful state, they can readily and rapidly heal from most injuries. Their native habitat is the hidden hot springs within mountain ranges in Natura and Halcya. Due to the reclusive, protected and harsh nature of these warm areas, the Xochi do not have to deal with many threats, and are generally a very peaceful, calm folk. Some have opened resorts in their hot springs where other folk can come and visit, enjoying the rejuvenating minerals of the baths. They also possess a strong tradition of music called Jazz, with many Xochi practicing brass instruments as children, with some becoming quite skilled musicians. Most Xochi encountered outside of the hot springs are traveling musicians, or adventuring bards.

Size: Small. Xochi reach adulthood around 3 and half feet tall, maxing out their height at about 4 and a half feet.
Languages: Common and Xochi.
Age: Xochi have longer lifespans than humans, but mature more quickly reaching adulthood around 14 and living until about 120 years old.
Xochi Traits
Xochi have adapted to life in hot springs, making them amphibious and heat tolerant. They are also renowned for their ability to heal and eve regenerate limbs.Amphibious
Your amphibian biology allows you to breathe both air and water, and grants you a swimming speed of 35 ft.
Regenerative Healing
You possess an impressive ability to recover from injury. If you lose a limb or otherwise sustain a serious injury that does not kill you out right, you can recover completely in 1d4 long rests. You also have advantage on saving throws against poison and you have resistance to poison damage.
Quick Healing
Similar to your impressive regeneration, you can quickly heal from injuries. As a bonus action, you can choose to expend a number of hit dice equal to your proficiency bonus. Roll the dice and add your Constitution modifier to each roll. You regain Hit Points equal to this total. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
Heat Tolerant
Your biology is well adapted to the heat of hot springs. This grants you resistance to fire damage, and you do not gain levels of exhaustion due to extreme heat.
