Homebrew Ashinka Species Details
Ashinka are caniform humanoids, with appearances that vary by caste in their tribal system, ranging from wiry and fox-like, to stout and wolfish, and even some claiming to have descended from extinct lineages, built exotic compared to their contemporaries. While their appearances and pelts may vary between clans and individuals, most are generally well-built and lean, ranging from anywhere between 6 to 7 feet, and weighing anywhere from 150 to 300lbs. Ashinka generally also have a plantigrade stance when at rest, but their short and strong toes can act like the digitigrade paws of their ancestors, leading to a slightly higher speed than some other races, with blunted claws on their hands and feet aiding more for transportation than combat.
Some family tribes will maintain a bloodline within themselves, often forming their own unique breeds and castes amongst themselves, giving even more diversity in color and ability. Though this can lead to some particularly inbred groups suffering from genetic diseases, it is usually only used as identifiers, with particular markings kept within the clan and distinguishing members to others.
