Homebrew Darkin Species Details

Darkins are beings of corrupted energy consisting of both blood magic and voidal energy. They inhabit weapons waiting for an unsuspecting soul to come upon them and bear their weapon. The Darkin's goal is to corrupt and take over, desiring a physical form, power and control.

A Hulking Visage

Originating from the horrors of the Void Wars, these demonic beings are a product of combining void energy and blood magic which corrupted the forms of God-Warriors. Long after the war, these Darkins were forced to be contained into weapons that would reduce their physical form and contain their corruptive powers to a certain extent. They were massive beings of power, size and intelligence depending on the person they corrupted. Their heights ranged from 6ft to 8ft and had a variety of different physical enhancements. From massive wings to spiked horns, they tower over their opponents with hulking intensity.

Corrupted Lone Wolves

Darkins are extremely rare in the present day, so the ones that do still exist in their physical form live in seclusion. Despite this, they try to control and dominate their territory and the area they live in. They pride themselves on their ability to defeat opponents and combatants. Darkins are after power and status not particularly caring about relationships and enemies they make. In their eyes, everything is temporary and if they have to knock a few heads to get what they want they will.

Darkin Traits

Darkins are massive demonic beings that are able to repair injuries and afflictions.

Wings

You have the option to give your Darkin wings. This will allow you to have a flying speed of 25ft.

Draining Blade

Your Darkin form allows you to heal the injuries you have faced. You are able to heal for half of the amount of damage you deal to a single creature.

Ability Score Increase

Chose an ability score to increase by one.

Ability Score Increase

Your Strength and Constitution ability scores each increase by 1.

Age

Darkins do not age and live for over thousands of years. They are nearly immortal, but are able to be killed.

Alignment

Darkins tend to lean towards the chaotic and evil sides of the alignment, but they truly vary in how they are morally.

Size

Darkins are extremely large, varying from 6 to 8ft tall. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Large.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one extra language of your choice. Darkins are demonic beings that originate from the combination of Blood Magic and Voidal energy, but their language is often based on the person they corrupted.
