Homebrew Axolotlian Species Details

The Axolotlians are cave-dwelling humanoid axolotls who become dehydrated very easily and are sensitive to light and temperatures. Some Axolotlians grow hair, which is very thick and grows very slowly. Adventuring Axolotlians carry large jugs of water with them and wear special visors or glasses to block their eyes from the sun. Some Axolotlians are born with a rare ability, which makes it so they aren't bothered by sunlight, have more of a tolerance to temperature, and need less water. All of these special Axolotlians have hair, which grows more than usual as well. Their skin colors are the same as all those of the axolotl, such as pink, brown, white, and yellow. The rarer more durable variant of the Axolotlian still needs water at least every 45 minutes to survive, so Axolotlian adventurers always carry a large jug of water with them. Axolotlians make great Monks due to their Tail Strike and naturally high dexterity and strength.

Tail Strike

You can make an unarmed strike with your tail. You do 1d4 bludgeoning damage in a 5-foot circle around you. 

Darkvision

Living in caves your whole life allows you to see in the dark for 60 feet.

Elemental Weakness

You are vulnerable to cold, fire, and lightning damage.
