Homebrew Demigod Species Details

Amongst mortals in Manhattan, New York, these beings have the blood of gods running through them. The Greek Gods are very prominent, even if mortals aren't aware of them, as there are many who were born half god, half human: demigods. At the age of 12, life as a demigod is hard, and so they make their way to a safe haven: camp half blood.

A Broad Spectrum

Sharing the appearance of humans, demigods are more physically diverse than other common races. There is no typical demigod. An individual can stand from 5 feet to a little over 6 feet tall and weigh from 125 to 250 pounds. Their skin shades range from nearly black to very pale, and hair colours from black to blond (curly, kinky, or straight); males might sport facial hair that is sparse or thick. Demigods have a half their blood running mortal, and the other half running God. Demigods reach adulthood in their late teens and rarely live even a single century, however their dangerous lifestyle makes it rare for them to survive past their early 20's.

Classes and Spellcasting

Each character chooses a martial class to begin with: fighter, rogue, monk, ranger, barbarian. Then, you choose a subclass that fits your godly parent.

Cantrips

You learn two cantrips from your chosen subclass. You learn another cantrip of your choice at 10 level.

Spell Slots

The spellcasting table below shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell's level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest. For example, if you know the 1st-level spell Charm Person and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast Charm Person using either slot.
