Homebrew Crabble Species Details

The Crabble are a young species, having developed higher intelligence mere years ago. Few outsiders know of their existence due to their reclusive lifestyle, consisting of small communities burrowed into the floor of a lake or deep river. The Crabble are naturally docile, often not fighting back until after several attacks. However, an enraged Crabble is a tremendous threat, absorbing damage with their sturdy exoskeleton and swinging their razor sharp pincers until their aggressor has fallen. As well as their claws, Crabble have a pair of more traditional humanoid arms and four spiked legs which can be used to dig into stone and dirt alike, making Crabbles excellent climbers and very sure-footed, as well as being able to dig into soft terrain, often used to make burrows to sleep in

Pincers

A Crabble's greatest weapons are his pincers, used to crush and cut alike.

Natural Armor

The hardened exoskeleton of a Crabble is capable of absorbing large amounts of damage without breaking. However, the bulk of it makes wearing traditional armor impossible

Mudwalker

Crabble are too dense to float. They make up for this by being able to walk along the bottom of lakes and rivers in order to traverse them.

Climbing claws

Crabbles are evolved to effortlessly climb steep drop offs into their water. Climbing a cliff, while more difficult, is still done with relative ease.
