Homebrew Beta-Sphinx Species Details
Sphinx have been around for eons across multiple planes. Beta Sphinx are simply crossbreeds of sorts that began in a long gone plane of existence that was destroyed. They have scattered to the ethereal winds across different points in time and can often appear in moments of great planar rifts or sometimes smaller windows of time such as a bag of holding meeting a portable hole.. Should they be lucky enough.
They often arrive disoriented and callous to their situation, and whatever plane they arrive in automatically becomes their home plane. Their memory tends to waver and they focus on the new life of here and now rather than bicker with themselves about what is and isn't accurate.
They range from 3 ft-6 ft when standing on all fours, are medium sized creatures and have wings.

Beta sphinx are very charismatic, being talkers above all else. They tend to have stagnant lifestyles and take great interest into other people's affairs, however their kind has a rift between lifestyles. Many embrace their cat-like reflexes and build, taking great pride to be dexterous and sporty. Whereas a great other half will take on a more refined lifestyle of staying on the ground and embrace a socially normal lifestyle- becoming more hardy and grounded as a result.

Sphinx are unique creatures, and have powerful magics tied into their biology. Truesight is a byproduct of this coming directly from their Ancestry.

Sphinx are just really big owl-cats and can move around any direction they please, unless it's in water.. They hate water.

Sphinx have a slight issue, their paws are not well adapted to holding most humanoid items. Some things they can manage such as teacups and round knobbed door handles, but others such as violins and silverware are more fumblesome.
Beta sphinx are only capable of using single handed weapons if they choose, they can however use bows and crossbows or other two handed ranges weapons assuming they are sat down or in the air when firing.
