Homebrew Tarkatan Species Details
Baraka appears before the human monk named Kung Lao in the living forest, with fire in his eyes and teeth bared in war-bound anger. Kung Lao's bladed hat glistened in the sunlight. "I challenge you in Mortal Kombat," The tarkatan said in his native abbysal language.
"All I understood from that was 'kombat'," Kung Lao responded.
"Then you understand enough!"
With that, The two warriors engage in combat, blades from either side grazed their flesh to the point where they would surely bleed to death.
Kung Lao was then at the alpha tarkatan's mercy and had I not intervened, Baraka would have likely eaten him alive.
"Out of my way" said Baraka, "Elder Gods' mistake!"
"I wish to not challenge you today" I said, "but both of you done enough blood shed right now to evoke the beasts of the woods."
Then with a hideous snarl, the bloodied tarkatan fled knowing of the impending danger. If anything was learned that day, it was the the tarkata are not to be underestimated.
-Lord Raiden, protector of earthrealm
The Tarkata are blood thirsty brutes who serve in the Netherrealm and Outworld, any strong ruler who takes the throne will have the Tarkata's loyalty and service. They are born with a full set of large, razor sharp teeth, and have retractable blades come out of their forearms about 3 or 4 feet long. They have a taste for human flesh, but don't need much in a way of food.
They usually behave like wild animals, with most lacking proper intelligence, and have an instinct to attack each other if they feel threatened. If one is powerful and brave enough to rule over them, the Tarkata will most likely not ask any questions before running off to fulfill their duty.

The Tarkata are known for their uncouth taste for flesh, they're purely carnivores. While cannibalism is just as much as a taboo as it is for anything else, eating the flesh of any humanoid seems to have no affect on their mental health. They can survive a couple days without food but when they're hungry, let's just say you'll know it.
Outcast of the Realms
It's justified one would say that tarkatans are wholly aggressive or unnerving in nature, the tarkata are even a pariah in their own home realm. Camps are scarcely found as they're either living with their overlords, albeit as lower class servants, or live far away from any sort of slavery from them.
