Driven by hate, lust, and envy, Cursed Soul's act as the evil in Purgatory. They set the weaker souls to work, taking particular delight in seeing those that defy them sent to the abyss. Yet, at the same time, they long for freedom and are bitterly envious of those that leave puratory, attempting to curry favor though it irks them to do so.

Purgatories Curse

Souls that are sent to purgatory change depending on the life they lived. Those that spilled innocent blood start to lose their sanity changing their souls. Those that spilled blood but for that of justice retain their sanity but are bound for judgment. Each soul has a chance of becoming cursed. Their bodies combust with a colored flame that resembles their soul and changes the head of their bodies to that animal, most change to that of a bull, a goat, or buck. Some souls keep their original skull, whether it be human or Dragonborn. Those that are cursed are bound to purgatory unless someone summons them from another plane.

Survival Of The Oldest

it doesn't matter how much you knew in the living world Purgatory constantly changes. The levels never stay the same way for long. The souls that are fresh to Purgatory don't last long before being sent to the abyss or working under one of the bosses in Purgatory. Those that last the longest figure, the harder you hit and the fast the draw is how you move up in Purgatory.
