Homebrew Bantam Species Details
"Every bantam has different reasons for being so careful around other races. Me personally, I find the biology of smaller creatures fascinating. How do creatures small as frogs or even spiders function? And then there are halflings and dwarves with their sentient brains and fascinating way of making homes. I hope to learn more about all of these."
A Broad Spectrum
Bantams are more physically diverse than other races. Bantam skin shades range from nearly black to very pale, and hair colors from black to blond (curly, kinky, or straight); males might sport facial hair that is sparse or thick. Bantam can be anywhere from 8 feet to 16 feet. Bantams reach adulthood at about 50 and live about a millennia.
Gentle Touch
The Bantam love all life and will often take extra measures to not injure other creatures. If they need to though, they can be fierce warriors. Sort of the 'mouse in the corner' mentality. They try to avoid combat though and much prefer making friends.
Calm Demeanor
With not wanting to bring harm to most creatures, the Bantam have learned how to keep themselves and others calm. They tend to not show anger or other such emotions, although they still experience them. When dealing with creatures smaller than themselves, they do their best to display that they are not going to harm them. Another thing is that they are careful around settlements, weaving through buildings carefully.
