Homebrew Dogun Species Details
A race of sentient magma beings that are peaceful in nature, but have demonic powers with destructive capabilities. Doguns are native to Lower Molten Heights but were forced to flee during the Dogun-Dwarf war. They tend to be slower in combat, but they are very powerful. Doguns are extremely weak to water and will become petrified if they come in contact with it. They remain conscious while petrified but must be dunked in lava to be restored. They have an affinity for fire and earth-based magic.

Doguns have a naturally stronger build granting them strength and constitution bonuses.
Appearances
Dogun typically stand around 6 feet tall, give or take a couple of inches, and weigh in between 700 and 900 pounds. They have bodies of lava with stone plate skin.
Alignment
Dogun are typically demonic in nature, but most are peaceful. They are rarely chaotic, preferring to air on the side of tradition and order.
Emanating Light
Having bodies of magma means that these creatures are always putting off light. Regardless of how much of their bodies are covered light seems to spill forth from the cracks. The only time they stop emitting light is if they have turned to stone from contact with water.
Fire and Stone
The cantrips Firebolt and Mold Earth are automatically added to your available cantrips.
Burning Ancestry
You can cast the spell burning hands for free. You can cast it up to half-your-level-rounded-up amount of times per long rest.
Blazing Tornado
As creatures of lava, you can rekindle your heat through the use of the spell burning hands. Casting burning hands on yourself. You are able to do this 1d4/2 rounded up times per long rest. The healing uses the spell's damage dice and levels along with the spell.
Magmatic Sensor
Activates at level 3 and increases at level 9.
Your magical connection to the earth means that you can detect things moving on it. You are aware of any creature moving in contact with the earth within 30 feet of you.
