Twi'leks Today

The Twi'leks have their own language called Twi'leki. This language uses a combination of vocal sounds and sign language with their Lekku. They have different gestures that have meanings. For example, crossing Lekku means "I Love You."

Twi'lek Names

Rather than having separate personal and clan names, a Twi’lek would have a single name that combined these two elements. The personal portion of the name would be selected with the clan name in mind, often involving an intentional alteration of the words or a shift in the letters to change the meaning of the name as a whole. This change was meant to symbolize a way of unity. A Twi’lek’s name would also be split into multiple parts if they were exiled as a criminal, as this was considered very dishonoring. Twi'lek Appearance

Twi'leks are slender humanoids Twi'lek's skin can have a vast array of colors, including orange, white, green, yellow, pink, blue, purple and red. Sometimes they also have distinctive marks on their bodies. They also have two prehinsile appendages that grow from the either the top or back of their skulls, known as Lekku or headtails. It is more common for them to have two Lekku, but can have four.

Male Twi'lek have human like ears while the females have protruding ear cones. Males will also sharpen their teeth, while females typically keep them blunt.

Variety	Description
Darian Twi’leks (Browns and Tans)	Descended from an aboveworld clan that practices worship through the creation of great stone monuments. They are sometimes called Stone Twi’leks.
Tolian Twi’leks (Oranges and Yellow)	Also known as Fire Twi’leks, they are descended from an underground clan that practices worship through the mastery and use of fire.
Tukian Twi’leks (Green)	Descended from an aboveworld clan that practices worship through spiritual devotion, prayers, and the conducting of ceremonies. They are sometimes called Spirit Twi’leks.
Rutian Twi’leks (Blues)	Also known as Water Twi’leks, they are descended from an underground clan that practices worship through the observation, use, and appreciation of water and its various forms.
Tyrian Twi’leks (Purples)	Descended from a clan that lived in aboveworld caves, much like a mix of both worlds, and practice worship through music, dance, song, and poetry. They are sometimes called Artistic Twi’leks.
Lethan Twi’leks (Red)	A rare occurrence, much like albinos in other species.  They can show up in any of the five clans.  Most Lethans spend their entire lives in fear and hiding due to their high value on the slaver’s market.

Your Wisdom and Charisma scores both increase by 1. In addition, one ability score of your choice increases by 1.

Darkvision

Accustomed to living underground, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

Lekku

Twi'lek have two Lekku. They are used in communication and are hyper sensitive to the touch.

Illusive Demeanor

Due to the predatory species surrounding their homeland and the likelihood of being captured by slavers, they are very illusive. You have advantage on deception and persuasion checks against figures of authority.

Twi'Lek Resistance

The Twi'lek have remarkable fortitude, represented by the following benefits.

• You are immune to disease.
