Homebrew Blood-Infused Humanoid Species Details
Throughout ancient times, many have taken upon the ways of performing magic with one of the most powerful essences ever, the lifeblood of an intelligent creature. The rituals and spells they performed, the sacrifices made all to the gods above, they are not perfect. Sometimes when these rituals go wrong, the caster or chosen individuals that are a part of the rituals are twisted into creatures made from blood.
They are often still humanoid in form, and take on an entirely new set of traits regardless of the race they previously were.
Blood-Infused Humanoid Traits
Twisted by the dark gods will, or by a mistake made by the caster, creatures of this race gain their powers from their own blood.Amorphous Form
As a creature made from blood, you are unable to wear heavy armor. You are able to take upon the form of a humanoid that you have seen before to hide your unnatural blood appearance so long as your are not incapacitated. You gain no benefits from this form as it is just a guise.
Age
Blood Infused Humanoids live as long as your average Aasimar, roughly 160 years, and reach maturity upon their creation.
Size
Your size is medium, ranging anywhere from 5 to 8 feet.
Ability Score Increase
As a creature of blood, your Constitution ability score increases by 2, and your Wisdom ability score increases by 1.
Occupation
As an action, you surround a friendly creature within 5 feet of you with your entire body. For the time being, you occupy the creatures space, and also grant it full cover. This ability lasts for 1 minute, or until you are incapacitated. You are unable to perform any actions or bonus actions, and your equipment melds into your body and you receive no benefits from it until this ability ends.
After using this ability, it may not be used again until you benefit from you long rest.
Darkvision
You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can discern color in darkness, being able to see the full color spectrum even with no light source.
