Homebrew Charling Species Details

Charlings are beings born of ash, so to say. They are primarily gray beings, the only part of them thar isnt grayscale is their eyes, which are red. There are certain forms in which they do not look like that, and in total they have four forms, which are;

1) human - A form they take to blend in, in which they appear human, their skintone and eyes being less charred, so to say.

2) Char - Their usual form they take, in which they have a shade of gray for their skin and hair, and their eyes being red.

3) Shadow - The form they appear as when they merge with shadows. They take the form of whatever shadow they merged into, but with pure white eyes and mouth, unless they have not merged but are their own shadow, in which, predictably, they appear as their own shadow with the white eyes and mouth. When they merged with a being's shadow, it is hard to detect them, unless the being has high perception

4) wisp/smoke - a smoke like form in which they become translucent and, well, smoke like, which can be used to traversed slightly quicker than usual.
