Homebrew Dracopyre of Eberron Species Details
The necromancers of Karrnath made the undead rise, and their nation became powerful.
The Articifers of Khorvaire made the Warforged, and all of Eberron prospered.
The nation of Cyre made the Dracopyre, and then it disappeared forever.
-- Morgana Abriline, Senior Historian; Museum of Oddities
Dracopyres are the experimental convergence of dragons, vampires, and werebeasts.
Crafted by the nation of Cyre near the end of the Great War, only a handful remain after that nation disappeared and its remains became the Mournland.
Apart from the occasional urban legend and tall tale, these creations have never been seen in the wild.
Societal Chameleons
Dracopyres are created to look like a single known race of Eberron. Aside from some unique minor features (red or purple eyes and hair), they are visibly indistinguishable from other members of that race. Though, keen observers may notice that something is amiss when comparing Dracopyres with the native races they're meant to imitate. ("He sure is spry for a Dwarf!")
