Homebrew Warbeast Species Details

Warbeasts a race of powerful yet intelligent beasts much larger then your average beast. Despite there greater intelligence they are still dumber then the common races of the world, often acting as the helpers of smaller races such as goblins.

Warbeast Traits

Warbeasts have various traits some good some bad

Ability Score Increase

Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.

Age

Warbeasts have lifespans comparable to humans. They enter adulthood in their late teens and usually live less than a century.

Alignment

Warbeast society, with its clear roles and tasks, has a strong lawful bent. Their destructive nature often gave them a lean towards evil.

Size

Warbeasts are between 9 and 14 feet tall and weigh between 400 and 700 pounds. Your size is Large.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 20 feet. Due to your massive size and weight your much slower thou thanks to your size it's possible to climb things slowly. You have 10 ft of climbing speed.

Natural Athlete

You have proficiency in the Athletics skill.

Strong Arms

Your arms are much larger improving your unarmed strikes. If you hit with an unarmed strike, you deal 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the normal damage for an unarmed strike.

Powerful Build

You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift. Additionally you can carry a small structure on your back no larger then 10 ft by 10 ft by 10 ft in size this counts towards your carrying capacity.

Large Creature

Your size means you need gear specially made for you. You use barding in place of normal armour. And weapons must be made for you, weapons made for you are twice as expensive and heavy.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and Goblin.
