Homebrew Big Dumb Brute Species Details
Big Dumb Brutes are widely known for their physical abilities, and for their ability to deal heavy damage to foes during combat, but they are typically shunned by many people for their hulking figures and often simplistic views on life and goals. This is not to say that Big Dumb Brutes are stupid but because of their ability to muscle through problems, they typically do not worry too much about details, and feel they can just plow right on to their goals.
The main thing a Big Dumb Brute wants in life is acceptance from giants, humans, or both. Some Big Dumb Brutes attempt to gain acceptance by accomplishing heroic deeds. Big Dumb Brutes who are raised among the giant culture will attempt to gain acceptance by honing their combat skills to perfection. Adventuring typically allows them to hone their combat skills and accomplish heroic deeds at the same time, so most Big Dumb Brutes who get the chance to will gladly join an adventuring party.

Power Build
the greater physical stature of brutes lets them function in many ways as if they were one size category larger. Whenever a brute is subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for an opposed check (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts, and trip attempts), the brute is treated as one size larger if doing so is advantageous to him. A big dumb brute is also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature’s special attacks based on size (such as improved grab or swallow whole) can affect him. A brute can use weapons designed for a creature one size larger without penalty. However, his space and reach remain those of a creature of his actual size. The benefits of this racial trait stack with the effects of powers, abilities, and spells that change the subject’s size category.
Exotic weapon proficiency:
Exotic weapon proficiency: giant boulder. Each brute has his or her personal throwing boulder with which the brute is proficient. It's a big rock a starting brute character gets for free. The boulder can only be thrown to attack, it cannot be used in melee. It does 2d8 bludgeoning damage; weighs 40 lb and has a range increment of 20 feet. The boulder can be carried under one arm, but needs two hands to be thrown. A brute has only one boulder at all times, so he/she has to get it back after having thrown. If a giant should ever lose his or her boulder it would be a loss, but he/she could go find a new rock to get fond of.
Mighty Wield
Mighty Wield: Due to the brutes immense strength, they are able to wield two handed weapons proficiently as if they were one handed weapons.
