PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Standing high above the other tribes, the Armored Anomalies' are beings of a strange design. Their arms are long and adorned with feathers and their faces are masked by ornamental helms. The only way to differentiate a male from a female is by the style of their garb and the shape of their small, vestigial wings. While males sport small bat wings, females sport tiny angel wings instead. While those other races have dubbed them as "Yukes" or a "Yuke", to make it easier for them. Yet they have adopted this accordingly.

HISTORY

The Armored Anomalies' are the world’s authority over all things magical, as their forms are believed to be spirits bounds to malleable forms to amplify their natural magical talents. The fact that the "Yuke" tribes were able to resist the unstoppable might of the ancient Lility Empire testifies to their mastery of the arcane secrets of the world. "Yukes" are studious and curious by nature, leading to many knowledgeable scholars, professors, and wizards to be of a proud "Yuke" lineage. Even "Yukes" who have never left their homes know much of the outside world due to "Yuke" settlements possessing magnificent archives of every subject imaginable. Their perseverance and dedication to their chosen crafts, however, tend to portray the race as reclusive, unapproachable, or in some cases, scheming and dastardly. Deep down, though, "Yukes" are very peaceful and make respected colleagues and beloved friends. Some say that when a Yuke forges a deep and intimate bond with another person, the Yuke permits them to gaze upon their true form under their helm. Few have ever had this privilege, and those who have seen under the masks are trusted enough to not speak of what they have seen.

Armored Anomaly "YUKE" NAMES

"Yuke" names are strange and alien sounding, with the names derived from their ancient scripts being based on real world Germanic, Russian, and Arabic names.

Male Names: Seiberg, Elgove, Enselus, Torbgieta, Luwein, Heinrir

Female Names: Ilias, Leannana, Iurilas, Ardane, Arisha, Aimelita

AGE

"Yukes" reach adulthood around the age of 25 and live to be about 150 years old.

ALLIGNMENT

Many "Yukes" tend to lean to good or neutral alignments, although they fall into every degree of lawful and chaotic.

SIZE

"Yukes" stand tall at anywhere between 6 to 8 feet. Their size is Medium.

SPEED

They have a walking speed of 30 feet.

Armored Anomaly Traits

Because of their knowledge of magic, the Yuke have traits that pertain to that knowledge.

Ability Score Increase

Increase a ability score by 2 and another by 1. - Option A | or | Increase 3 ability scores by 1. - Option B

Weakened Resilience

• You don’t need to eat, drink, or breathe.
• You are immune to disease.
• You don’t need to sleep, and magic can’t put you to sleep.

Mystic's Rest

When you take a long rest, you must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping.

Weapons of the Scholar

You have profiecncy in Arcana skill, Investigation skill & the Light Hammer weapon.
You also gain 1 cantrip of your choice from any spell list. For spellcasting please select either Intelligence, Wisdom or Charisma.

Focus Bond

You learn a ritual that creates a magical bond between yourself and one weapon. You perform the ritual over the course of 1 hour. The weapon must be within your reach throughout the ritual. Once you have bonded a weapon to yourself, a bonded weapon is considered to be an arcane focus for you and can be used to perform somatic components.

Scholar's Defense

The "Yuke" may cast the the mystical energies of magic to form a barrier to defend itself.

As a reaction you may cast the Shield spell while you gain a number of uses depending on your level. These can be used a certain amount of times before each long rest.
You can cast this once at the 1st level, twice at the 5th level, thrice at the 11th level & fourfold at the 17th level. These uses refresh after a long rest.
