Homebrew Tarkata Species Details
Never have i seen such savage monsters before in all my years defending earth realm. These creatures created by fell sorcery were designed for one thing only, kill. They show no mercy and prefer to kill their victims in slow agonizing ways, such as stab them in the chest in areas that will keep the victims alive before feasting on their flesh, or by lifting up their victims in the air with there blades and tear them apart. This questions my faith in the Elder Gods because they allowed such monsters to walk on this realm .-The Great Kung Lao, Shaolin Monk of the temple Light
Tarkatan are mutated humanoid creatures from an evil and distant plane. Their intimidating appearance of fiery red eyes and jaws bearing sharp teeth, also armed with their unusual natural blades that protruding from the arms, Tarkatan can strike fear into even the bravest of mortals. Their lust for flesh and blood will tend to lead rather a chaotic path's, making them unstable but combat efficient allies or a deadly and bloodthirsty nemesis.
Created By Mutation
As humans grow to fear that their race is slowly becoming inferior in combat situations, magic castors and alchemist joined forces to evolve the human race into some more superior. Using various spells and components, they sought to create a human, faster, strong and be smarter than anything has ever seen. What they made turn out to be a nightmare.
They made monsters that had jaws with teeth of some sort of dragon, eyes glow crimson as blood, skin that looked rough and tight. They also have blades of metal that can protrude in and out of both of their arms.
Some of these fell beast escape from where they were created, the first Tarkatan wreaks havoc on unsuspecting villages. Even though they could not speak common they still understood all their primal instincts. Which did eventually lead to the mixing of Human and Tarkatan, which human mothers who gave birth to Tarkatan babies were able to start to understand common at a young age.
Feared By Many
Due to their rather terrifying appearance most other races tend to treat Tarkatan as monsters during the early parts of their lives. With all the indifference a young Tarkatan can possibly face most will tend to go down a chaotic path in life.
When Tarkatan does go down an evil path, they tend to make sure everyone will remember them; if they survive that is. From simple loud growls, while baring their jagged teeth, to staring an enemies eyes with their own set of eyes that burn like fire, they can make even Paladins question their faith in their deities. Some Tarkatan even like to feast on the flesh of their fallen victims to establish that anyone can become a snack to them.
However, this can be all avoided. Some Tarkatan can actually grow up to be lawful good citizens of society. Provided of course on the basis they will be accepted into society or even can be trained into becoming Paladins.
Natural Weapon Experts
All Tarkatan are born with blades in their upper forearms that protrude out above the wrist at their will. It is speculated that the blades were originally a bone from the forearm that turns into steel due to the iron found naturally in blood. With a flick of their wrist, the blades pop out about two and a half feet.
Since this is part of their race biology, Tarkatans generally get used to having these blades fairly early in life even starting to train with them during their teen years. These blades also can help conjure a magical spark to hit targets are longer distances.
Creatures Of The Dark
Tarkatan prefers to live in isolated places away society especially in the dark depths of a cave or abandon mine. When a Tarkatan is in its natural element they usually have the upper hand. Being able to see any human or creature who cannot see in the dark then followed by a switch fatal stab with there blades turns a once eager adventure into a tasty meal for Tarkatan.
