Homebrew Bilbian Species Details

Bilbians generally live underground to escape the heat of their natural habitats; deserts. They have claws on their hands and feet which make them excellent diggers. Though they generally live alone, some build cities in underground caverns and, in some rare cases, aquifers. They build tunnels connecting each of the major cities, sometimes even connecting to each of their own dens. Many professions of Bilbians are physical and require less think, like construction, although some are well known for their design capabilities and robotic schematics. They do not tend to travel because most other areas are very cold to them. They are usually shades of grey with a white underbelly and a black tail with a white tip, though in some cases, they can be white on their entire body or have black on their hands and feet, their eyes are generally yellows and browns. They usually mind their business, unless a friend or family member is in trouble, so their alignments are generally lawful or neutral.

You are a nimble creature, so your dexterity increases by 2, and depending what your good at, whether that's building or designing, either your strength or intelligence will increase by 1.

Age

Being a humanoid version of a bilby and also being quite small, Bilbians generally don't live past the age of 60, although in some rare cases, they have lived to around 85.

Size

Averaging around 4 feet tall and weighing in at around 66 lbs, your size is small.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30, seeing as your entire society is based underground, your base burrowing speed is 40 and your base climbing and swimming speed is 20.

Alignment

having not been in any wars or conflicts, Bilbians tend to lean towards lawful and neutral alignments. 

Darkvision

You can see 60 ft in front of you in darkness, though you cannot discern colours and you cannot see in pitch black.

Coward

You do not like conflict, you can take the Hide or Disengage action as a bonus action.
