Homebrew Abyssent Species Details

Created by the love between a human woman and a demon, this race were born long time ago. Mocked as evil creatures the humanity started a war to kill all abyssent. Only a handfull have survived this cruelty and have been living in clan at secluded places.

They have a humanoid shape, but several parts of their body are covered with demonical parts like horns, lethery skin of diffrent colours or claws.

Abyssent Traits

Your demonic blood will gain you varient benefits.

Darkvision

You have 60 ft. Darkvision.

Ability Score Increase

Your Wisdom score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.

Age

Your demonic blood let you live longer, but you grow normally. The maximum is around 800 years.

Alignment

Most Abyssent are neutral, but those who work for a demon overlord can be cruel villains.

Size

Abyssent can be found in a great range of size. Some are taller and stronger than humans, some may be only the size of an halfling.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Demonic Ancestry

You have demonic ancestry. Choose one type of demon from the Demonic Ancestry table. Your demmonical weapon and damage resistance are determined by the demon type, as shown in the table.

Demonical Weapon

You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your demonic ancestry determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When you use your demonical weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your demonic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level. After you use your demonical weapon, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.

You have resistance to the damage type associated with your demonic ancestry.
