Homebrew Amar Kabal Species Details
The Amar Kabal are a Wizard Born Race created by the ancient wizard Eldrin, to live multiple lifetimes. These graceful people look entirely look humans except for the walnut- sized seed that grows out of the back of their neck, known as an Amar. When a seedling dies, their Amar dislodges from the body and plants itself in the ground. After about 2 months, the seed will regenerate the body at the age of the Amar Kabal's first death, but retaining the memories of all past lives. The Amar Kabal have a deep reverence for their lifegiving seeds and consider the most heinous of crimes to destroy an Amar. One of the few times the Amar Kabal will send warriors beyond the Seven Vales is when such a tragedy has occurred. In order to protect their Amar, most seedlings will grow their hair out past their shoulders and put into a bob around the seed.
Homeland
The Amar Kabal live exclusively in the northern mountain range known as the Seven Vales. In truth there are actually hundreds of valleys within that mountain range but only the seven largest are home to villages and cities. These valleys are known as Broadvale, Crookvale, Longvale, Midvale, Roundvale, Deepvale, and Farvale. Broadvale is home to the capital and largest city, known as Conclave. The Seven Vales are extremely fertile and are home to a variety of crops. If the worst case scenario were to happen, and the Seven Vales were attacked, the Amar Kabal would be able to last a siege for decades due to the defensive and fertile nature.
Destined to Fall
When the Wizard Eldrin created the Amar Kabal people, he foresaw a possible, dark future where the seedlings became immortal dictators over all the known world. In order to prevent this, Eldrin created one fatal flaw in the seedling people: over time the Amar Kabal would begin having less and less children. In the modern day, less than one Amar Kabal is born a year. The Wise Kabal estimate that the seedlings still have centuries before their race reaches a critical point, yet the knowledge of their eventual doom hangs over every Amar Kabal's head.

Amar
The defining characteristic of the people of the seed is their Amar, a walnut sized seed that grows out the back of their neck. When an Amar Kabal dies, their Amar will dislodge and attempt to plant itself in the ground, where it will spend two months regenerating the host body at the age of their first death. The Amar is quite resilient while planted and requires very little water or sunlight. An Amar Kabal may choose to separate their Amar early, which would instantly kill the host body.
When the Amar finishes growing the body, roll a D20. On a Natural 1, the Amar becomes defective and will no longer grow a new body, effectively making this life your last one. On a Natural 20, your character gets +1 bonus to one attribute of your choice up to 20. This buff lasts until your next death.
If the Amar takes 8 or more damage while it is growing, you have disadvantage on your next regrowth D20.
While the Amar is disconnected from the body, it has:
AC:10
HP:16
Vulnerability: Fire
Immunity: Psychic
