Homebrew Wolverns Species Details
Wolverns are magical creature that you can often find in forests or a town gaurds. Their heighten sense of smell and hearing allow them to hunt and avoid any danger. They come from an experiment that a few wizards and sorcerers who did these experiments and were eventually captured and/or killed and these experiments were let free. With them being part wolf, they can communicate with wolves and have often met many beast languages and often common or elvern. Some of the Wolverns can have different parts from other creatures which also came from the experiments.
Wolverns Traits
The wolverines often have a heightened sense of smell and hearing, often used to hunt or hide. Their muscle structure also gives them a boost. They also can communicate with wolves.Ability score increase
The changed muscle structure of the Wolverine have given them addition strength in many of their actions. Add +1 to strength.
Age
The lifespan of these creature often are that of a normal human or may live up to 150 years old.
Alignment
Often with Wolverns, their alignment can range from many things usually depending on their professions or past events. Often though they are in a good or neutral alignment.
Size
These creature often reach between 5 to 6 feet, but some can even reach 7ft. tall
Speed
Wolverns due to their muscle difference have a boost in their step allowing them to move 35ft. per turn.
Keen senses
With the high ten sense of smell and hearing, Wolverine can hear and smell object and creatures from many distances away which makes the excellent hunters. Gain a proficiency in perception.
Wolvern weapon training
Wolverine due to being excellent hunter have a proficiency with bows, short swords, or daggers.
Languages
Wolvern often know how to read and write Common and Elven as they often are in towns and forests and also know the language of wolves which allows them to speak with wolves.
Thermal resistance
The Wolverns can change their fur depending on the temperature the climate they are in. They can have a shorter coat for hotter temperatures and longer, thicker coats for colder temperatures.
Claws
As the claw strikes a foes, it deals 1d4 + strength modifier of piercing damage.
Pack Call
You howl out to the wild calling a pack of 2-3 wolves to help fight out against enemies.Recharges with a short rest.
Pack tactics
When there is an ally with 5ft not incapacitated, gain advantage to attack rolls.
Bite
With wolf teeth and jaw, chomp down on an enemy foe. Deals (2d4 + 2) piercing damage. It has a 5 ft. reach and a + 4 to hit.
