Homebrew Celestrium - Jason Creation Species Details

The celestium are a race of incredibly intelligent humanoids who live on the Hang Ue (the moon). They see the world as a complex magical machine, and their philosophy of "Eternal Alchemy" touches everything they do. Inventors, scientists, and spellcasters of every stripe, the celestium consider many other races beneath them—and are not afraid to tell them so at every opportunity.

The celestium are responsible for creating the teleportation waypoints between their moon and the planet.

When they initially came to Therivin, the empire looked upon them with skepticism. An initial contact war broke out between the two with the celestium being able to outmatch the Empire in sheer power. The Empire outmatched them in numbers. Even with the power of the waypoints and teleportation magic the celestium and Empire came at a standstill. Eventually, the war ended with both sides taking many losses.

The celestium still inhabit Therivin but in a small pocket in the desert to the east of the Empire. They live a comfortable life secluded from the rest of the Empire.

Celestium magical technology is second to none. Their experiments with magic are evident through the impressive floating structures found around and within their cities. Many celestium study the difficult art of golemancy, and golems are often used for defense and general work. The golems' complete absence of intelligence and huge size complements the celestium perfectly. The most important contribution of the celestium to Therivin society is the celestium waypoint network which links many of the major cities of Therivin. To maintain this, they have retained a neutral attitude to all races.

The celestium are slightly smaller and thinner than humans but are distinctive by their glowing eyes and pale skin. Most wear masks to prevent the glow from their eyes as the sunlight affects their eyes more than humans.
