Homebrew Viera Species Details
Segregation of the Sexes
The Viera are a race of both males and females but, outside of necessary meetings to keep their race continuing onwards, they lead seperate lives. The males of the Viera are secretive and highly competitive when it comes to territory, thus causing them to split off and create their own settlements to accomodate this competition within their species.
Xenophobic Heritage
The Viera are a tall, lithe people with dark skin and hair said to have been spun from silver. Most Viera do follow suh an appearance but long ago, a love affair between a Hyur and a Viera led to to the birth of a second variety of Viera the Feol. Deemed abominations, the Trueblood Viera exiled the Feol and any of their kind from their forest home.Their Feol has shorter ears, fair skin and blonde hair. Despite this seemingly isolated occurance the Feol bloodline, named for the father of the first sinful child, they have lived on.
The Woodlands
The Viera hail from a massive forest which they have been the protectors of for generation after generation. as protectors of the forest, the Viera follow a strict code known as the Green Word, which governs their society. Those who refuse to follow the Green Word are cast out from their home and head off for a new life away from their homeland.
The Green Word
The Viera's set of laws are considered to be the laws of the forest in which they live. The Viera take jobs under this set of laws and restrict themselves from having contact with the world outside of their forest. Among many other restrictions the Viera subject themselves to, some find their ways off putting. Their isolationist way of life which borders on oppression at times drives Viera, with a fire in their belly, away to set off into the world and explore.
Loyal to Others
The Viera are a race of people who warm to others slowsly, keeping other races at an arms length and keeping their own kind divided further. Once someone manages to break throught his hesitation they'll find a stalwart ally.
Au Ra "Their nomadic life style and deep traditions is quite similar to ourselves and the Green Law. I may find their way of doing things strange but I can appreciate their way of life all the same."
Hyur "They are ever ambitious and this can lead to all kinds of trouble. With their meddling an entire bloodline of Viera formed. There must be something special about them to cause one of our own to falter in their beliefs."
Miqo'te "The Miqo'te seem to be great hunters, I can't help but wonder who the better between us would be. I respect their ability."
