Homebrew Boglodite Species Details

 

 "A gargantuan swarm of sleek, black and tendril bearing alien ships soar silently past a multi ringed planet in the depths of space. As soon as the next planet scheduled for conquer comes into view the dark fleets engines roar to life as the entire formation eagerly increases their speed. The impressive shape of the fleet is then suddenly broken by one ship veering sharply off the ordered path, this lone ship then opens a dimension bridge through complicated technology and quickly disappears through it unnoticed by the fleet, still approaching their target."  "Violently laughing a frumpy looking barbarian deftly swings his great axe into the stomach of a Gnashing umber hulk, unaware of the second umber hulk bearing down on his flank. as the beast comes down to strike it suddenly goes limp and collapses in a heap on the floor with two long bone like spikes sticking out of its head. The barbarian glances back and smiles slyly as a strange insect like chittering can be heard somewhere on the ceiling." "A strange looking young girl spins a well rehearsed tale to a enthralled vendor selling jewelry on main street. Unnoticed by the gullible vendor Several sets of expensive necklaces are quickly snatched up by a tiny beast that promptly jumps from the cart and scurries up a building towards the rooftops. Ending the tale with a dramatic flourish the little girl then walks away grinning ear to ear feeling nothing but proud."

The true form of the Boglodites is dark brown in color and humanoid in shape. Covered in sharp fleshy talon like appendages, with holes where eyes should be. the original line of Boglodites used to be parasitic in their culture but seeing as this belief constantly led to unsustainable conflict that tradition has long since been abandoned. The Boglodites found on the planet today are entirely carnivorous.

 Before coming to this universe the Boglodites were a parasitic spacefaring race that survived and thrived by sailing through the cosmos consuming planet after planet. However not all of the species was happy to continue down this path of death and chaos, a rogue sect led by a brilliant scientist named Mon Kraw knew better. they knew they would eventually be felled by more advanced races, so anticipating the worst and wanting the best for his people Mon Kraw worked on a dimension bridge, a device that opens Portals to alternate universes, in secret. After the device was completed, the next step was waiting for a perfect opportunity.

Boglodite Traits

Boglodites have a symbiotic relationship with a pair of small insectoid like creatures that reside in the two palms of the host.

Boggi

Ranged up to 20 ft. 1d12 piercing Dmg.  Host has access to two boggi that are under his/her control, and can stow them in their palms or release and command them.

Shapechanger

Change back and fourth from your true form to your human form.

Feet Spikes

Grants advantage on saving throws or checks that involve getting knocked prone.

Ability score increase

+1 to CON +1 to STR -1 to CHA

Age

Boglodites reach adult hood by their 35th year and can live up to four hundred years. 

Alignment

In their past universe Boglodites were chaotic parasitic tyrants that showed no mercy to their enemies in and out of combat. However the Boglodites that have migrated to our current universe have tried very hard to make up for the past history of their species by coexisting peacefully with the other races, although some of these newly displaced Boglodites find the pull of their old cruel ways to strong to resist.  

Size

Boglodites average around the same height as humans. but weigh around 250lbs. due to their strange biology.

Speed

you have a base walking speed of 25ft. and a climbing speed of 10ft.

Languages

you can speak, read, and write common and Boggi.

Symbiotic Relationship

If a boggi is killed the Boglodite host loses 8 hit points permanently or until the boggi is revived

If a boggi takes damage in any way, the host takes 1 hit point of damage, if the host is healed then so are the boggi
