Homebrew Damned Soul Species Details

You are a special type of soul damned in the nine hells. You have the ability to switch bodies with a dead body and that body will be restored fully. Lost limbs are regrown, deadly wounds are healed and status ailments are removed. If you are killed you will inhabit the nearest dead body within 120 feet and your previous bodies is disintegrated to ash. Your stats change based on what body you're inhabiting. If there is no body within 120 feet when you die then your soul is imprisoned in the nine hells and tortured. Only a wish spell can bring you back.

Damned Soul Traits

Bodie switch - you can change bodies with any dead creature of the same size as you (Medium) once a day voluntarily, this action is automatically done if you are killed and there is a dead body for you to inhabit within 120 feet.

Body swap

You can switch bodies with any dead creature of your size (medium) within 120 feet. You can do this willingly once every long rest, but if you die you are forced to take over the nearest dead body within 120 feet of you. If there are no bodies within 120 feet when you die then your soul is imprisoned and tortured in the 9 hells. Only a wish spell can undo this. You can not attempt to take over a body if the body is still alive.
