Axolotl (Draxolotl) Traits

You are a hybrid and as such have traits from both of the races you are based off of.

Small Friends From A Watery World

Axolotls have humanoid form but may or may not keep the characteristics of a typical axolotl, be it their head ferns or tails. Their color varies in each one but most common would be pastel pink. Their physique is small and slim being around 4 feet tall and weighting near 60 to 90 pounds.

Axolotl Names

Most Axolotls claim the name they are given at birth, following by inheriting the name of their Draxolotl parent as last name. Some may stick to a nickname their friends have given him like Drago, Pinkie, Sushi etc.

Axolot Traits

You're a species fit in both terran and aquatic world. You gain the following traits Ability Score Increases. You gain +2 to Charisma and +1 to Constitution

Age

Age. Axolotl hatch from an egg and reach adulthood around the age of 7. Though their aging is not so noticable. They live around 60 years.

Alignment

Alignment. Carefree and pleasant as they are. Axolotl Dragonborns stick to being good with either Lawful or Neutral and rarely Chaotic. Evil Axolotl Dragonborns are out of the question as they are considered non-existent.

Size

Size. Axolotl Dragonborn are small, being 4 feet tall and weighting between 60 to 90 pounds. Your size is Small.

Speed

Speed. You have a base walking speed of 25 feet and swimming speed of 30 feet.

Amphibian

Amphibian. You have both gills and lungs thus you're able to breathe on land and underwater.

Wriggle Detectors

Wriggle Detectors. Your survival instincts have adapted for any danger you might encounter in the depths below. While underwater you gain Tremorsense of 30 feet.

Excellent Immune System

Excellent Immune System. Given the right conditions, your body was built to withstand most of the diseases. You have advantage on saving throws against diseases.

Heat Stress

Heat Stress. Your system cannot stand high temperatures. Staying too long in extreme heat gives you 1 point of Exhaustion and you lose your advantage on disease saving throws until you finish a long rest. Trying to take a short or long rest while in extreme heat doesn't regain any hitpoints or spell slots.

Limb Regeneration

Limb Regeneration. You have advanced regenerative properties. If you lose any body part you roll a d20. You take 30 and you subtract it with your d20 result + your constitution modifier, resulting on how many days it will take for your limb to fully regrow back.

Ability Score Increase

Your Strength score increases by 2, and your Charisma score increases by 1.

Age

Young dragonborn grow quickly. They walk hours after hatching, attain the size and development of a 10-year-old human child by the age of 3, and reach adulthood by 15. They live to be around 80.

Alignment

Dragonborn tend to extremes, making a conscious choice for one side or the other in the cosmic war between good and evil (represented by Bahamut and Tiamat, respectively). Most dragonborn are good, but those who side with Tiamat can be terrible villains.

Size

Dragonborn are taller and heavier than humans, standing well over 6 feet tall and averaging almost 250 pounds. Your size is Medium.

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Breath Weapon

You can use your action to exhale destructive energy. Your draconic ancestry determines the size, shape, and damage type of the exhalation. When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of the exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by your draconic ancestry. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 6th level, 4d6 at 11th level, and 5d6 at 16th level. After you use your breath weapon, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.

Damage Resistance

You have resistance to the damage type associated with your draconic ancestry.

You can speak, read, and write Common and Draconic. Draconic is thought to be one of the oldest languages and is often used in the study of magic. The language sounds harsh to most other creatures and includes numerous hard consonants and sibilants.
