Homebrew Bolgach Species Details

Millions of years ago, a clan of grungs were exposed to a mutant mushroom, that warped their appearance and personality, transforming them into Balgochs. The Balgochs found a habitat in a nearby cave, and prospered. Balgochs have a strange fascinations with mushrooms, especially the fungus that created them, called the balgan-buachair. They are easily pleasurable companions, and despite their rather appalling appearance, they make great companions.

Appearance

Standing at about 3 feet tall, these peculiar creatures are rather chubby and covered in strange warts and spots. Balgochs are most commonly found in a green color, but can also be found in yellow, brown, red, and orange. They sport large buggy yellow eyes. and a large mouth with sharp toothpick-like teeth. they have large drooping necks that slightly inflate when they croak, and a big, soft belly. They stand on two human-like feet, and have long arms with sharp claws.

Behavior

Balgochs are rather mischievous, and are very sneaky. They often put on an act of vulnerability in order to steal from other creatures. They like shiny items, such as jewelry and coins, and are by no means picky eaters. Balgochs are very excitable, and a great companion.
