As an action, you can assume the appearance of a specific single human form of the same sex.  You always take this form when you use this ability. You cannot use your bite attack in human form.  In order for anyone to see your true nature, they have to succeed on an int modifier.

Starting at the 5th level, you learn Charm Person. Charisma is your spellcasting modifier for this spell. You can only cast this spell on a creature of the opposite gender.

If you successfully charm your target, the target stays charmed until you dispell the charm, the target is hurt by you or an ally, or is given a command that would cause it to do something that would cause it to harm itself. You can only charm one person at a time. 

You learn the Cantrips: Minor Illusion, and Message.

You have a number of tails equal to the highest level spell you can cast (minimum of 1).

A white orb ornament every kitsune has, it can be used as an arcane focus. The orb absorbs magical energy from the kitsune that owns it as part of their soul lives within. Once per long rest, the kitsune can draw on the orb to cast a spell that would otherwise require a spell slot without expending a spell slot. Any spell cast this way also does not require a vocal or somatic component.

If the kitsune has 5 or more tails, the orb can be used to attack enemies.

Should the orb be stolen or forcibly taken away, the kitsune will gain a stack of exhaustion every 8 hours until they are dead.

As a bonus action you can choose to transform into your true form: a Dire Fox. You can use the statistics for the Druid's Wild Shape feature in the PHB with the following exceptions:
