Homebrew Aquikind Species Details

Aquakind are a race of island-dwelling humanoids that have the special ability to shift their legs into tails in order to dwell under-water. Their society is very lax, favoring a peaceful life of pleasure and respect for the land. Aquakind take full responsibility of caring and maintaining the lushness and health of the Land and sea where they dwell. It is tradition for a young calf (term for young who have not chosen adulthood yet) to adopt a name from their home island, wether it be a plant, animal, or Aquan phrase. With a lifespan similar to elves, reaching almost 1,000 years, many devote their lives to acting as intermediaries between the sea and all else.

Amphibious

You have the ability to breathe both above and below water.

Ability Score Increase

Aquakind move with the fluidity of the ocean waves and their wisdom is great. You gain a +2 to Dexterity and +1 to Wisdom scores.

Darkvision

Due to thousands of years hunting and gathering deep underwater, the Aquakind have developed the ability to see underwater.
