Homebrew Arachne Species Details
Arachnes have a total of eight limbs, and can shoot webs from four of them. They have two human legs, two human arms, and four spidery legs that protrude from their backs. The spider four spider legs can launch webs from them. They have spider-like fangs, but only two eyes. All other features are the same as humans. Arachne mature around the age of 60, and live to be around 250 years old. Arachne range from 5-6 feet in height, and are normally about 200 lbs. Their skin can be anywhere from light gray to black, and their eyes are normally red or purple.
Arachne Traits
Web Sling - Can use webs for a number of purposes. Spider Legs - Arachnes have two human legs, two human arms, and four spidery legs protruding from their back.Ability Score Increase
Ability Score Increase. +1 to two of the following, or +2 to one of the following: Charisma, Constitution, or Dexterity.
Darkvision
Darkvision. Accustomed to life underground, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 ft of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Language
Arachne can speak Common, Spydric, and one other standard language.
Web Sling
Arachne can shoot strings of webs from the four spider legs protruding from their back. This allows Arachne to move an extra 15 ft in one direction, or to pull up to four monsters closer to them. In combat, Arachne can use webs to inflict the Restrained effect on one monster. Arachne can also shoot webs which will attach to a creature up to 20 ft away, and pull the Arachne next to it, and attacking as though using an Unarmed Strike.
Web Walker
You ignore movement restrictions from webbing.
Web Sense
While in contact with a web, you know the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.
Spider Climb
You can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
