Homebrew Birdfolk (D-Ch) Species Details
In this World Birdfolk are humanoid Birds that stand between 3.5 and 6 feet tall depending on the species they are aligned with.
They have feather covered arms and legs, their hands and feet are free of feathers and look just like bird feet would look like.
Most Common are the Owlfolk and Ravenfolk variants of this Race. Please feel free to contact your DM for a variant of your favourite bird.
Birdfolk (D-Ch) Traits
As a Birdfolk you will have the following base traits.Languages.
You can speak, read, and write Common and one language of choice.
Rudimental Flight.
You have a flight speed equal to your walking speed. For every 10 Minutes of continuous flight you have to make a Constitution saving throw (DC at DM's discretion). On a failed save you gain 1 point of exhaustion. If you roll a 1 on your d20 you gain 1 point of exhaustion and need to land immediately.
Flight-action: Casting a spell or making an attack mid flight takes a lot of agility. Whenever you cast a spell whilst in the air using the Rudimental Flight feature, make a dexterity saving throw against a DC 8 plus the spell level. Whenever you take an attack action whilst in the air in the same way, make a Dexterity Safe against a DC of 10 plus the number of attacks already taken this turn. On a failed save, the spell fades or the attack misses respectively whilst using all necessary components/ammunition
