Homebrew Bone Fairy Species Details
Bone Fairies are walking nightmares. Standing on average 7 feet in height, the Bone Fairy towers over enemies in terrifying form. They are lanky, spindly creatures with arms that frequently reach down to their knees, hands ending in sharp talons. They do not have skin but rather an exoskeleton, and as they age new spikes and juts form, adding to the horror of these creatures. With an average life span of 400 years, the elder Bone Fairies are almost inconceivably terrifying to behold.

As a result of their tough exoskeletal armor, their Dexterity is raised by 1. And as a result of their fae lineage, they gain a +1 to Wisdom.
Darkvision
Darkvision up to 60 feet.
Visage of Dread
The Bone Fairy is naturally terrifying, but they have the ability to instill the deepest of fear in their enemies. A number of times per day equal to their Wisdom modifier, the Bone Fairy is able to use an action to activate their Visage of Dread. This grants the following:
- Grant disadvantage on Wisdom Saving Throws made against them.
- Force a Wisdom Saving Throw to any creature within 5 feet (also at disadvantage.) On a fail, the creature becomes afraid of the Bone Fairy but may make additional saving throws at the end of the creature's turn.
- Grant the Bone Fairy advantage on Intimidation checks.
The Visage of Dread lasts 1 minute unless it is dropped with a bonus action.
