Homebrew Amitayan Species Details

The Amitayan are a nomadic people that travel the Ethereal Ocean. They live and travel with their small clan and a few ships, exploring new worlds and strange areas of the space between planes. While very similar appearance to humans Amitayans have hair colours from across the spectrum, from neon green to metallic gold, this is due to the prolonged exposer to the Ethereal ocean. They also develop tattoo like patterns on their skin that move and change colors depending on their moods.  The natural tattoos are added to when children turn 16 and become adults, when they are given their clan tattoos, a mixture of their personal achievements and the beliefs of the clans.

Having such a deep connection to the Ethereal Ocean the Amitayan are often amazing navigators and find a etheral creature who travels along side them

As a young Amitayan, you were taught how to send your spirit into the etheral ocean. The first time that you do this an etheral beast responds to your souls and will appear for you. after you have summoned them they behave like an ordinary familiar. Though if you stray to far from who you are, you may summon them to find a whole new creature in their place.

Ethereal sight

You are permantly able to see into the etheral ocean up to 5 ft around you at all times

Once per day however this can be improved to become true sight up to 20ft which lasts for 10 minutes
