Homebrew Aasivat Species Details
Aasivat (As-ih-vat); Hill dwarf race similar to most other dwarf races on Tempori Stasis, but with a higher affinity towards living above ground in mountainous forests as opposed to living underground. The Aasivat worship Aavarsane as their patron diety but unlike most other dwarf races, they also worship Velvet, the goddess of darkness. This allows these dwarves to see in the dark despite not normally having dark vision. Other dwarf races can innately see in the dark at the cost of easily being blinded by light, but the Aasivat have the best of both worlds. They are not the most powerful or stout of dwarven races, but are not the weakest either. They are highly religious, and have great respect for the gods. They also do not partake in alcohol except for special religious ceremonies as they view the act of casual intoxification to be akin to heresy. The Aasivat tend to be very generous, inclusive towards other races, and are very versatile in their talents as far as dwarves go.
