Homebrew Cat-Elf Species Details
You belong nowhere truly. As the final product of a Neko and an Elf you are unwanted in human settlements and cities where most of the population sees you as either a trophy or a thief. In Neko settlements you are greeted coolly, not openly hated but people talk behind your back, you are the bastard child of one of their own who decided they were too good for the clan. In Elven cities you are seen as a curiosity, how you could come to exist baffles many.
Most Cat-Elves move on to live within the forest in solitude or travel the world, much like their Half-elf counterparts.
A New Being
As Neko's take on a humanoid form, you do as well. You are slimmer and more limber than most elves and are on par with your Neko brethren. Cat-elves weigh from 100 to 160 pounds on average, with a typical height in the range of 5-6 ft. Cat-Elves typically take on a mixture of both of their parents attributes usually leaving them with cat ears, a tail, fangs and nails that grow naturally in the shape of claws, along with Elven eyes and their Elven parents lack of body hair. Hair coloration is combined between the Neko and Elven parents causing for new color combinations and a great variety.
Worldly Adventures
Due to the Neko side of a cat-elf, most humans are inherently distrustful, leading it hard for them to find residence amongst them, the Neko clans are closed off, forcing the cat-elves to prove themselves to the clan with elaborate tasks and challenges, Elven cities are the most open and accepting towards these cat-elves, allowing them to find quick a quick rest there and allow them to trade easily, however it is in the cat-elves nature to settle on their own within their own found land or to become a wanderer. Meeting another cat-elf is rare as Neko and Elves do not typically court one another, however in the event that they are to meet another of their kind they will feel a sense of comradery and a quick friendship is born.
Cat-elf Naming Conventions
Due to being a part of a clan, Nekos do not have last names, instead taking on their clan name as their surname. All Cat-elves take their Elven parent's last name. Because they are given their Elven parents surname, they are usually given a first name of their Neko parent's choosing.
