Homebrew Cat Sith Species Details

Feline Fey

Cat Sith are shifters, who are able to flit back and forth between "cat" and "human" form. Due to the innate nature of this ability, their human forms tend to take on some catlike attributes- catlike slitted eyes, extra sharp canines, and pointed noses are the most common features. Their cat forms are sleek, reflecting their true appearance in color and markings. For example, If a cat sith has freckles in human form, they may appear as small spots on the face of their cat form.

Domestic Companions

Some Cat Sith prefer the leisure and warmth of domestic life, opting to spend time as the chosen companions of spellcasters. In fact, it is almost a right of passage amongst Cat Sith to act, at least once, as a familiar. They offer assistance when they can, and in exchange, live in semi-luxury and comfort until their next adventure beckons. When the time comes, they slip out, unnoticed, and transition right back int0 the human world. Most Cat Sith don't think about the people they left behind, but some will return later in life, just to see how their "owners" have grown.
