Homebrew Badgerfolk Species Details

Never wrong a Badger. To do so is to curse your life for eternity, for a Badger's bloodwrath knows no bound. A thousand arrows will not stand between a Badgerfolk and their vengeance.

The life of a badger is a fated one. Woodlanders speak in hushed whispers of carvings within Elysia that tell the fate of every badger, male and female, great and small, until the end of time. Be it true or not, badgers seem to be pursued by calls to glory and heroism. The names of Badger warriors resound throughout history, their iron fists breaking the might of verminous armies and bringing salvation to the besieged and downtrodden.

Badgerfolk Names

Badgerfolk in Elysia takes on their family name, followed by a given name. For example; Brochclaw, son of Brochlin, son of Brochlach, son of Brochtree. Their family name is typically inspired by Gaelic/Celtic influence.

Bloodwrath

This trait ought to be discussed with your DM, as it is heavily story-reliant. When a badger swears an oath of vengeance, they will carry it out. Their fate and their power combine into an unstoppable force called the Bloodwrath. At one point, somebody may have stopped a badger in the grip of the Bloodwrath, but nobody could ever prove that it happened. You should settle between yourself and your DM who the target of your Bloodwrath is, although you need not have one at the start of your adventures, and when your Bloodwrath may kick in.

While in a state of Bloodwrath, you gain temporary hit points equal to 1d10 plus your level plus your Consitution modifier and have advantage on Constitution saving throws until you or your target is defeated.
