Homebrew Alpacataur Species Details

You've heard of Centaurs, now get ready for Alpacataurs. A horrifying combination of man and alpaca! Incredibly fluffy, and incredibly deadly (from the static shock they build up mostly.)

Whereas a Centaur might be noble, an Alpacataur is likely to spit in your face for no good reason. Do not trust them.

Alpacataur Traits

Your Alpacataur has the following traits:

Ability Score Increase

Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Strength score increases by 1.

Age

Alpacataurs mature and age at about the same rate as humans.

Creature Type

You are a Humanoid.

Size

Alpacataurs vary greatly in size, some reaching 7 feet tall at the head while others only reach up to 3 feet tall. Your size is either Small or Medium.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 40 feet.

Static Discharge

Due to your fluffiness, you regularly build up a large amount of static electricity throughout the day. When a creature within 30ft of you hits you with an attack, you may use your reaction to force that creature to make a Dexterity Saving Throw. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. On a failed save, the creature takes 2d6 lighting damage. On a successful save, it takes half as much damage. The damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (3d6), 11th level (4d6), and 17th level (5d6).

You can release your static energy a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Spit

Your spit is a natural ranged weapon which you can use to make unarmed strikes. You add your Constitution modifier, instead of your Strength/Dexterity modifier, to the attack and damage rolls when you attack with your spit, and it has a range of 10/20. Your spit does 1 + your Constitution modifier acid damage on a hit, and the target must make a DC12 Constitution Save or be Blinded until the end of their next turn.

Camelid Build

You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push or drag.

In addition, any climb that requires hands and feet is especially difficult for you because of your camelid legs. When you make such a climb, each foot of movement costs you 4 extra feet, instead of the normal 1 extra foot.

Extreme Fluff

You have resistance to cold damage.

Languages

You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
