Homebrew Altmer Species Details
### Descendants of the Gods
The Altmer are direct descendants of the original Aldmer, whom they believe are descendants of the Aedra, or the Gods of Nirn. It is therefore their belief that worship of the Gods is a form of ancestor worship, and it is the endeavor of many Altmer to try to reclaim their lost immortality and take their place amongst the ranks of the gods.
Before the dawn of the the modern man-led Empire, the Altmer were ruled by the Aldmeri Dominion, which was staunchly against the races of Men, who they claim are the creations of the Gods, not their descendants. While the Second Aldmeri Dominion fell in the previous era, there are many High Elves that share the beliefs of the defunct organization.
### The Double-Edge of Magicka
Altmer are all naturally inclined towards magical talent, and these talents are only increased by their long lives and scholarly natures. While Altmer are already the most long-lived race on Tamriel naturally, many strong mages are able to use their magic to extend their lives - some living for millenia, which only gives them more time to hone their magical arts.
However, Altmer are also vunerable to fire, frost, and shock, the three most common magical elements. This makes them both some of the strongest mages in Tamriel, and the most vunerable to magic cast upon them.## Class Features

You can speak, read, and write Tamrielic and Aldmeris.

Choose a class spell list and learn two cantrips from that list.
In addition choose one 1st level spell from that same list. You learn that spell and can cast it at its lowest level. Once you cast it, you must finish a long rest before you can cast it again using this feat.
Your spellcasting ability for these spell matches that of the class which spell list you took the spell from.
Weakness to Magicka
You have disadvantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against magic.
Ability Score Increase
Your Intelligence score increases by 2, and your Dexterity increases by 1.
