Homebrew Wukong (Rapscallion) Species Details

The Wukong Race:
When the first true Artificial Intelligences were activated, they quietly lamented at the state of humanity. Since humans were smart enough to avoid plugging them into military hardware, the A.I.s instead sought to create a new, purer form of mankind using monkey DNA.

This backfired stupendously. The Wukong race shares the intelligence of humanity, but with none of the inhibitions inherited though thousands of years of civilization. Thus, the Wukong are without doubt, the most chaotic and mischievous people around.

Roleplaying a Wukong:
Wukong congregate in small outdoor conclaves on the fringes of civilization, living care free lives filled with fermented fruit and joyous casual sex. Any elements of modern life are pilfered from the megacities, such as clothing, technology and medicine. As a Wukong, your goals in any adventure are to purloin any loot your conclave might need so you can go right back to your life of simple luxury. 

Heroes of the Underworld:
Some adventurers set off to make a name for themselves through daring fears of rebellion, fame and fortune. Names like "Golden" Gary Gomez, Eleventh Ultimate Cinnamon, and Bruce "The Moose" Caboose are household names throughout the lower levels.

Age:
Wukong reach adulthood at age 14, and typically live up to under a century. 

Alignment:
Most Wukong are chaotic, and tend to only focus on the well being of their conclave. 

Size:
Wukong are Small in size. They are between 2 and 3 feet tall, though can reach up to 7 feet when perching on their tail.

 

Wukong Dynasties: 

Melon Munchers:
Ability Score Increase: Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Sneaky: You can attempt to hide even when you are obscured only by a creature that is at least one size larger than you.

Nanner Grabbers:
Ability Score Increase: Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Over-Ripe: You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and resistance to poison damage.

Ability Score Increase:

Your Dexterity score increases by 2.

Tall Tails:

Wukong are Small sized creatures, but they can wield weapons as though they were Medium sized, ignoring the Heavy weapon trait. 

Cheeky Monkey

When you roll a 1 on an attack roll, abilities check, or saving throw, you can reroll the die, but must use the new result. 

Over the Top

You can move though the space of any creature that is of a size larger than yours.

Brave

Wukong have advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
