Homebrew Awakened Berry Shrub Species Details
An awakened berry shrub is very similar to that of a regular awakened shrub. Usuaully awakened in some way by magic. Berry srhibs however have the ability to harness some magic themselves through their berries. They can grow both normal tasty berries and goodberries. Most awakened shrubs live mundane lives or follow druids, but some break the trend and become adventurers.

Your awakened shrub heritage manifests through traits you share with all other awakened shrub of the berry variety.Ability Score Improvement
Your Dexterity score, Constitution score, and Wisdom score all increase by 1.

You speak one language that was chosen for you by your creator.
Age
Awakened Shrubs matures quickly. They reach full maturity 1 year after being awakened. They usually live for about 10 years.
Size
Awakened Shrubs are small and stand at between 1 and 2 feet tall on average. They are thin and weigh very little as they're mostly wood.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
False Appearance
While remaining completely motionless you appear identical to a normal shrub.
Rake
You can use your branches as a natural melee weapon that uses your Dexterity modifier and deals 1d4 + DEX mod slashing damage on a hit. You are proficient with this attack.
Berried
As a berry shrub, you have the capability to grow 1d20 mundane, edible berries per day (start with 1d20).
Additionally, you can cast the goodberry once per day with this trait using your own berries. You use WIS as your spellcasting modifier. You can cast the spell additional times using spell slots.
Damage Adjustments
As a shrub you make good tinder and are vulnerable to fire damage. You however have experience staving off predators like woodpeckers, so you have resistance to piercing damage.
