Homebrew Awakened Fox Species Details

Physical Description

Awakened Foxes are quite similar to normal Foxes, but there are a few differences. The first and probably biggest difference is the size and lifespan of the Awakened Foxes, they can live between 40 and 50 years and are significantly larger than common ones. But like the common Foxes, the males are slightly bigger than their female counterparts. In addition, they have a strength and skill that one does not expect from such animals.

History

The Awakened Foxes were created by a group of Mages, which awakened many other animal races. At first they gave them their names and helped them build up small civilizations. But after some time the Awakened Foxes rebelled against the mages and with their sheer number they overpowered the magicians and thus gained their freedom.

Society

They build a humanoid like society, but are a bit more primitive. They build small civilizations out of caves, wood and sometimes dried clay. Each civilization has their own Leader-Pack, which are the strongest of their fighters. Nowadays, they are in some kind of passive war against the other awakened creatures created by those mages.

Awakened Foxes Names

The Names of the Awakened Foxes are still inspired by the names given by the mages. These names always have meanings:

Male: Kiyoshi (Pure), Yukio (Happy Hero), Tadao (Loyal)

Female: Reiko (Lovely Child), Keiko (Lucky Child), Kazue (Harmonious)
