The immense city of Havenstep in Mycelium consits mostly of two racial populations, the numeral minority of which; are angels. Equipped with feathered wings that span from their body, their appearance is often majestic -- but because of that, at times, they are also targets of adulation and envy. Angels tend to learn quickly how to wade through the spotlight struck onto them, either by exploiting or escaping it.

Expertise of Longevity

Due to their more-than-double lifespan relative to the humans around them, angels are often found at the top of structural heirarchies. The monarchy, trade guilds, or scholastic colleges often have angelic apices. Nepotism aside, an angel's long healthspan allows them to accumulate experience and hone their skills, long before the hindrance of old age.

An angel's surname is lengthy and polysyllabic, showing off their ancient Celestial heritage. The first name tends to be comparably brief, its vowels unstressed, chosen out of a sense of humility. Some even choose to forgo it, and refer to themselves by their inital.

Wings

Though all angels can use their feathered wings to glide or lift a few feet off the ground, not all are skillful enough to fly. If your total Dexterity score is 12 or more, gain a flying speed of 30 feet. Completely extending or folding your wings take a bonus action.

Ability Score Increase

Your Wisdom, Consitution, and Charisma scores all increase by 1.

Age

Angels mature at the same rate as humans for their first three decades, after which their aging slows to half of the rate as before. Angels live up to a lifespan of two centuries.

Celestial

Your creature type is celestial for the purpose of spell and effects.

Alignment

Due to their Celestial ancestry, angels tend to allign Lawful, though their choice of morality vary much like humans.

Speed

Your base walking speed is 30 feet.

Darkvision

Blessed with superior vision, you can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.

You have resistance to radiant damage

You can speak, read, and write Common, though there is always a feeling at the tip of your tongue, as if you should be capable of more.
