Homebrew Mustelidaen Species Details

The behavior of mustelidaens differs by family, but all shelter underground, living in burrows called setts, which may be very extensive. Some are solitary, moving from home to home, while others are known to form clans called cetes. Cete size is variable from two to 15.

Mustelidaens are semi-solitary usually found alone or in the company of a small close knit family, with vast tunnels and burrows connecting to neighboring families to form an underground community. The thing that matters most to Mustelidaens is loyalty, courage, and nobility. They do not care for fancy titles, they do not want to be known as something higher than what they are. As such, their society abandons most social titles, instead relying on a complex system of scent detection to tell the story of an individual and assess their worth. They generally dont care much for outsiders and seem aloof at the idea of friendship, but if you ever manage to earn the trust and respect of one they will protect you like you are there own flesh and blood. Mustelidaens have a deep respect for the forest and all its inhabitants and tend to act as a reluctant and ill tempered guardian to all that dwell in it.
