Homebrew Blemmyes Species Details
Humanoids that lack the usual heads most other races posses, and instead have faces on their chest area. Blemmyes are rarely seen above ground, unless they have been banished from their tribes, or leave for another highly significant reason.
Blemmyes Society
Blemmyes live in large tribes, usually found in the desert regions. Large tunnel and cave networks span under the sands, allowing the Blemmyes to stay out of the heat of the desert sun. Underground springs, and root vegetables allow the Blemmyes to live almost permanently underground and therefore Blemmyes are rarely seen above ground. These tunnel towns can span for miles, and are completely hidden from the surface. They consist of public areas, social chambers, private sleeping and living chambers, feasting halls, council rooms, trading halls, storage chambers and more. Dung chambers are constantly being expanded with vents leading to the surface, therefore a Blemmyes town is usually only identifiable via smell. These Dung chambers often create pockets of fertile areas in the deserts, sometimes creating small oasis's.
Blemmyes are incredibly sociable beings and will suffer depression when out of contact with others for too long. Blemmyes that do venture away from their towns often find the open space of the surface hard to deal with and can regularly be found burying themselves.
Dark Secrets
Blemmyes have similar lifespans to that of humans, but can prolong their life by eating the flesh of other Blemmyes. This secret is held only by a small council of Blemmyes, and cannibalism is heavily outlawed in most Blemmyes tribes.

Posted Apr 24, 2023Cool, but is a very weak race with many of its racial traits and the only ability score is a +1 to Constitution. If you end up making a second version, definitely add more to their ability scores, and maybe loose both "Lonely" and "Earth Armour" as the first is a serious detriment to this race being playable and the other is kinda useless since they's be incapacitated if they're burried.
